A rail crossing at Mount's Bay will be closed from today following an inquest earlier this month into the death of Jeanette Nicholls. The 73-year-old was hit by a train as she crossed the line near the Mexico Inn at Long Rock in October last year.
Cornwall Council said the ‘emergency closure’ was because of a request from Network Rail. A temporary diversion in in place whilst the crossing is examined for safety reasons.
