Police have extended their search to new properties in South Devon after two men were arrested under the Terrorism Act.
Homes were evacuated and bomb disposal experts called in yesterday afternoon after suspect items were reported in Lymington Road in Torquay.
An 18 and 20 year old man were initially detained on suspicion of committing criminal damage, but later rearrested under the Terrorism Act.
Police haven't said where the new searches are being carried out.
Neighbouring houses were evacuated because of fears that a gas pipe was damaged.
