The Transport Secretary Patrick McLoughlin has agreed to meet south west MPs about the recent flooding which cut rail links to the region.
MPs say it's vital flood defences are improved to protect the line, particularly around Exeter.
One said it was utterly unaceptable the peninsula has twice been cut off from the rest of the country in the past two months.
