The driver of the 14.25pm Plymouth to Edinburgh service has reported striking a person who jumped off the station platform at Dawlish Warren. At this stage, it is not yet a confirmed fatality.
All services are on stop and the line has been closed. Trains are being turned around at Exeter St Davids and at Newton Abbot. Ambulance services are en route to the incident.
British Transport Police has declared the incident as ‘non-suspicious’.
