Cost to repair Cornwall's battered coast will be millions

It's been revealed tonight that it will cost millions of pounds to repair Cornwall's battered coast, with many popular coastal paths staying closed to walkers well into the main holiday season.

It comes as a blow to tourism officials in the county, keen to promote the country as open for business. Watch Steve Hardy's report.

35 cliff falls in Cornwall

An unprecedented period of wet weather has resulted in more than 35 significant cliff falls around Cornwall’s coast line since last November. 18 footpaths are now closed on the South West Coast Path alone.
