A penny a day more for policing?

People in Dorset could be asked to give an extra penny a day towards policing the county.

It's to fund changes planned by Police and Crime Commissioner Martyn Underhill. They include recruiting an extra 12 officers.

Today the Police and Crime Panel will consider raising the part of council tax that pays for the force.
