FOOTBALL: Home win for Exeter City
In tonight's football, Exeter City played host to Accrington Stanley in a game scheduled for Friday night instead of Saturday afternoon to attract a wider range of fans.
It certainly went the Grecians' way at St James Park. It was goalless until the 79th minute but two goals in quick succession from Jimmy Keohane gave them a 2-0 win and a welcome boost to their promotion campaign.
Club record eighth win in a row for the Glovers
Yeovil Town won for a club record 8th time in a row. Exeter City beat Accrington on Friday night, but Plymouth Argyle and Torquay both lost.
Club record away win for the Grecians
Exeter City picked up a club record tenth away win of the season. There were also wins for Yeovil Town and Plymouth Argyle.
Fifth straight win for the Glovers
Yeovil Town won for the fifth game in a row after a 3-0 win over Brentford. There were draws for Exeter and Plymouth, but Torquay lost 2-1.
