Police were called to the Complex Pub in Keyham Road in Plymouth last night following reports of an altercation between two men.
A 42-year-old man from Milehouse was found dead at the scene. He has yet to be formally identified and a post mortem is to be carried out to find his cause of death.
A 47-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murder and is stil to be questioned by detectives.
The head of Plymouth CID told ITV News West Country that although there had been two major incidents within 24 hours in the city, this type of crime was very rare and in fact there had been just seven murders in the last eight years in Plymouth:

Plymouth remains one of the safest cities in the country, this is a very rare occurrence and when they do happen we will do all that we can to bring people to justice.
