A group is hoping to buy a former Royal Navy frigate to sink off the coast of Torquay and use as an artificial diving reef.
Wreck the World say having a dive attraction will boost the local economy, and highlight the success of HMS Scylla, which was sunk off Whitsand Bay in Cornwall in 2004.
The group have the backing of Torbay Council, the Harbour Authority and the Maritime and Coastguard Agency.
