Torquay United's League Two match with Barnet this afternoon has been postponed due to a waterlogged pitch at Plainmoor.
14mm of rain fell in three hours between 10am and 1pm, which made the pitch unplayable.
I looked at several areas of the pitch, specifically areas that had been heavily forked.
Despite the great efforts of the groundstaff in forking the field, we checked again 15 minutes later and those areas remained waterlogged.
The process begins with taking the ball out on the pitch and rolling it in various parts of the pitch, but the ball did not roll sufficiently in the affected areas.
I also threw the ball in the air and it was clear for everybody to see that the ball did not bounce.
The match has been rearranged for this Tuesday evening (16 April) with a 7.45pm kick-off.
Yeovil Town's Championship survival hopes were severely dented last night, but Plymouth Argyle have edged closer to the League 2 play-offs.
All three of Devon's Football League teams suffered defeats, but Yeovil's Championship survival battle received a boost at Blackpool.
Exeter's Gareth Steenson missed a conversion attempt with the last kick of the match as Gloucester won 14-13 at Sandy Park.
