Celtic Cross in place

The gateway to Cornwall - a giant 66 foot Celtic cross - has been put in place. Weighing in at around one tonne, it now resides on the Saltash side of the Tamar Bridge.

Celtic Cross is now in place at Saltash

The iconic Celtic Cross which will dominate the skyline on the Cornish side of the Tamar Bridge has been placed in position. The intricate operation was carried out on Saturday night after the giant structure was transported by road from Newquay.

ITV West Country spoke to the project engineer Duncan Healey about the problems they faced.
