GP accused of sexual assault found not guilty

A GP from Somerset accused of four counts of sexual assault on his patients has been found not guilty.

45 year old Dr Habeeb Mohammad Abdul Latheef from Yeovil was alleged to have placed an object in women's hands as they held them behind their backs during sensory tests.

The jury were unable to reach a verdict on a further three charges and were discharged. Dr Latheef may now face a further trial on the remaining charges.
