Two men charged after Torquay terror alert

Two men from Torquay have been charged after an incident which led to part of the town being evacuated earlier this year.

Roads were cordoned off and bomb disposal experts were called to Lymington Road on 3 January.

John Roddy, who's 20 has been charged with an offence under the terrorism act while he and 18 year old Tobias Ruth have both been charged with conspiracy to send malicious messages and conspiracy to cause criminal damage.

They have been released on bail to appear before Exeter magistrates on 14 May.
