Badger culling can legally get underway from tomorrow. The licensed culls in parts of Somerset and Gloucestershire are aimed at trying to reduce the levels of TB in cattle.
DEFRA says about 5,000 badgers will be shot during the pilot cull period. If it's a success, it's expected to be rolled out in other parts of the country. But protesters say they will be out in force to try to disrupt the cull.
