In the ultimate race between man and beast, Somerset-born British mountain bike champion Gee Atherton took on a peregrine falcon in a downhill mountain sprint. The cyclist set off with bait strapped to his back and tried to reach the bottom before the bird could snatch it.
Thanks to his incredible riding skills he came close - but ultimately the peregrine prevailed.
