The incident happened at around 12.20pm on Friday 21 June at Morrisons on West Bay Road.

The victim, a 66-year-old Devon woman, requested £50 cash back from a self-service till, but forgot to take her money. Upon realising, she returned to the store, but the cash had gone and was not handed in to staff.

Police Constable Caroline Orchard, of Bridport police, said: “Following enquiries, I am now able to release three CCTV images of a woman I believe may be able to help us with our investigation.

“This incident that has left the victim out of pocket.

“I would urge the woman pictured – and anyone who recognises her – to contact Dorset Police, in confidence, as soon as possible.”
