Police investigate death of elderly cyclist in Torquay

Police are appealing for witnesses to a fatal crash involving a cyclist and a mini in Torquay last month. The cyclist, Jeffrey Hennells who was 71 and from the town, was taken to hospital with head injuries and later died.

The driver of the mini, a 28-year-old woman from Torquay, was unhurt.

Anyone who saw the crash, which happened outside the Grand Hotel on Torbay Road, is asked to contact police. It took place at 1.30pm on Friday 28 June.
