The private operators of an out-of-hours medical service in Cornwall have agreed to hand back bonuses after a damning report by a committee of MPs.
The Public Accounts committee says the night-time cover provided by Serco for NHS Kernow was understaffed and underfunded. Records were falsified and whistleblowers bullied.
Serco, which insists standards have now improved, is handing back £85,000 paid in bonuses last year.
