Full report: Bradninch house fire

A family has been left homeless after their house near Cullompton was destroyed in a fire overnight. A father and four children escaped unhurt.

Fire officers say the lives of the Lush family were saved by having working smoke alarms and an escape plan.

Five rescued from house fire

Five people have been saved from a house fire in Bradninch near Cullompton, Devon. They were rescued by crews who were called out just before 3am. Two children have been taken to hospital with breathing difficulties.
