The Unit at Newquay Community Hospital has closed due to severe rain damage caused by Monday's heavy downpour.
Two treatment rooms have been affected making the facility unsafe to operate.
Whilst our MIU is closed we urge people to consider the wide range of alternative health services available that can help and if you become unwell or injured.
Pharmacies can assist with many over-the-counter remedies and advice and local GP’s will be able to provide immediate treatment and advice where appropriate.
Out-of-hours GPs can be seen in ‘surgeries’ and can be accessed via the call centre on 0845 2000 227.
Please remember Emergency Departments and 999 should only be used in emergency, critical or life-threatening situations.”
