Newquay's Minor Injuries Unit will re-open tomorrow morning after being closed after yesterday's bad weather. Severe rain caused damage to the building after heavy downpours. Treatment rooms were affected and facilities were deemed unsafe.
I would like to thank everyone for their patience at this time and especially thank our MIU colleagues in Bodmin, St Austell and Camborne Redruth Community Hospitals who have seen many of the patients who would normally have visited Newquay MIU.
I would also like to thank our contractors and the Newquay hospital team for their support in expediting the clear up operation to enable us to re-open so quickly.
