A pop-up cake shop which only sells grey cakes opens in Exeter today. The Depressed Cake Shop charity initiative was set up by the specialist food creative consultant Emma Thomas. It aims to raise awareness of mental illness, and the therapeutic impact of baking.
All proceeds from today's sale go to mental health charities, with many of the contributing bakers having experience of mental health conditions.
Similar stunts held across the UK have already raised thousands of pounds for charity.
