A public meeting will take place tonight to discuss the plans for a new £110 million development near St Austell.
The proposed 100-acre site would have a housing and shopping complex.
Some residents are worried that the development would destroy town centre businesses.
They will be able to put forward their views at Cornwall Council's meeting this evening.
