Family criticise 3 year delay in inquest

The family of the Cornish teenager who died at a mental health unit have criticised the three year delay in holding his inquest. Ben Cowburn was found dead in his room at the Longreach hospital in Redruth in December 2010. An inquest last week returned an open verdict.

Today his parents Steve and Sharon Cowburn said it was wrong that it took more than a thousand days from his death to hold the inquest. They said changes needed to be made in the process so families didn't have to wait so long.
