Woman admits neglecting foal rescued by Dujardin

A woman from Gloucestershire has admitted neglecting a foal that has since been re-homed by Olympic dressage rider Charlotte Dujardin.

Lisa Fletcher was banned from keeping horses last year after pleading guilty to three counts of neglect.

But despite that ban Ms Fletcher continued to keep two animals, a horse and a foal, in squalid conditions in another yard nearby.

Both animals were severely emaciated. The foal has now been adopted by Charlotte Dujardin, who has named him Santa. The horse, Frank, has recovered and is looking for a new home.

Fletcher will be sentenced next month.
