Marine A loses appeal but has sentence reduced

A marine from Taunton has today lost his appeal against a conviction for murder after he was filmed shooting a wounded Afghan fighter. Sgt Alexander Blackman, also known as Marine A, was found guilty by a court martial in Wiltshire last year.

But the appeal court did reduce his minimum sentence from ten years to eight after hearing he was suffering from combat stress. Bob Constantine reports.
