Man charged after stabbing in Saltash

A man has been charged with attempted murder and possession of an offensive weapon after a stabbing in Saltash on Tuesday 27 May. A man is being treated in hospital.

A 25-year-old man from Saltash is due before magistrates this morning charged after a teenager was stabbed in the town.

Police were called to Alamein Road at around 2pm on Tuesday 27 May. A 19-year-old man was taken to Derriford Hospital in Plymouth suffering from a number of stab wounds.

Andrew Barker is due before Bodmin Magistrates today, charged with attempted murder and possession of an offensive weapon.

Officers are continuing to investigate in the Alamein Road area would like to hear from any witnesses.
