Friends defend banned Devon cyclist

Friends of Devon cycling champion Jonathan Tiernan-Locke have spoken of their disbelief over his two year ban for violating anti-doping rules. Cycling's governing body took the decision yesterday after tests revealed anomalies in his blood.

But his supporters say there is still no evidence the rider took any banned substances. So far, there's been no reaction from Tiernan-Locke himself about the ban.

His friend Colin Lewis and the Torbay Herald Express sports writer Dave Thomas told us why they're not convinced the cyclist should have been banned.
