17 injured in Plymouth 'car-cruising' event

Seventeen people have been taken to hospital after a car ploughed into a crowd during a "car cruising" event.

A 16-year-old girl was seriously injured after the vehicle reportedly mounted the kerb and hit the group in a car park in Tavistock Road, Plymouth at about 10pm on Saturday.

A man has been arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving.

Car cruising involves people gathering in car parks to watch drivers speeding and performing stunts.
