Sexual assault in Shaftesbury

Officers investigating a sexual assault in Shaftesbury are appealing for witnesses and anyone with information to come forward.

The incident happened at 9.40pm on Saturday 28 February 2015 in the Kings Arms pub in Bleke Street.

The victim, a 41-year-old local woman, was standing at the bar when an unknown man approached sexually assaulted her.

He was wearing blue jeans, a checked shirt and a hooded top with the zip done up.

This incident left the victim distressed and shaken.

As part of my investigation I am now in a position to release a CCTV image of the suspect.

I am appealing to anyone who recognises the man pictured to please call me on 101.

All calls will be treated in strict confidence.
