Queen guitarist Brian May is due at a rally in Penzance just after midday to support Liberal Democrat Andrew George's election campaign.

Dr May says the politician meets the standards of his Common Decency movement, which is backing candidates that work for peace, social justice and wildlife.

And with just three weeks to go to the General Election, two more Conservative Party big hitters will also visit the region.

Health Secretary Jeremy Hunt will be in Cornwall today, and Home Secretary Theresa May will be visiting Devon and Cornwall on Saturday. The party has targeted the South West as the place to gain seats if they want to win the election.
