Severe weather warning as lightning storms hit the West Country
Thunder storms are hitting parts of Devon and Cornwall. The Met Office has issued a severe weather warning for rain across the whole of the South West.

Thundery showers moving north across the West Country today has caused some localised hail in Cornwall.
Hail is reasonably common during the warmest months of the year - they're formed in the large cumulonimbus clouds that roll in during thunderstorms.
