Truro City FC has become the first Cornish team to reach the first round of the FA Cup since 1969.

Truro beat their National League South rivals, Hampton and Richmond Borough on Saturday, 14 October, with a final result of 2-0 full time.

Noah Keats scored twice, while goalkeeper Tom McHale saved a penalty.

The last club from Cornwall to reach the first round of the FA Cup was Falmouth Town, who were beaten 4-1 at home by Peterborough United in November 1969.
