Cornwall Council says temporary repairs to Portreath's damaged sea wall are being finished today.

The old cob wall which defends houses from the sea was breached by massive waves during Storm Eleanor a week ago.

Giant concrete cubes have been used to block the hole left in the wall, and sand bags are being cemented under the slipway to prevent water getting in.

The council is in talks with a private Cardiff based company which owns the sea wall about a permanent solution.
