Drivers told to avoid A38 Haldon Hill following 'multi-vehicle pile up'

Devon and Cornwall Police are asking drivers to avoid A38 Haldon Hill and have closed the Westbound carriageway following a 'multi-vehicle pile up'.

Officers say there is stationary traffic following the accident which took place between A380 (Splatford Split) and B3344 (Harcombe Cross).

Police say the pile up was caused by cars skidding on black ice and no casualties have yet been reported.
