About Nordoff Robbins
Can you imagine your life without music?
Nordoff Robbins can’t
Nordoff Robbins is a UK charity delivering music therapy and other music services across the country. Their services reach out to some of the most vulnerable and disadvantaged people, offering them and their families a lifeline through music when they need it the most.
Music therapy is a specialist use of music to help those with a range of challenges including autism, dementia, mental health problems, stroke, brain injury, and terminal illness. It can help people in many different ways; for some it has physical benefits, for others emotional or social ones. It helps people feel motivated, social and self-confident and gives hope when times are rough.
Nordoff Robbins deliver over 45,000 music therapy sessions per year in a variety of settings including their own centre’s and units and in schools, hospitals and care homes. They also provide Masters-level training for music therapists.
All of the people helped every day by Nordoff Robbins therapists have one uniting factor - music has the extraordinary power to transform their lives. Music reaches people in a way nothing else can.
We receive no local or national government funding and are wholly reliant on voluntary donations to keep our services running.
On behalf of the many people whose lives we change through music, we would like to thank ITV and all the viewers who have voted for your invaluable help and support.
