All Star Family Fortunes hosted by Vernon Kay returns for a new series this September. The classic game show, which started on ITV in 1979, see two celebrities and their families go head to head in a bid to win £30,000 for the charity of their choice.
Some of the nations favourite celebrities and their families compete for the top prize of £30,000 but only if they get more than 200 points and all the top answers.
Viewers see the celebrities and their families put under pressure as they face the One Hundred People Surveyed Said…. And Double Your Money rounds. But which of the families will have enough top answers to go through to the Big Money round to win the potential £30,000?
The eight episode of the series sees Lesley Dunlop take on John Barrowman.
Joining Lesley on her team are, brothers Adam and Ralph, older daughter Daisy and her husband Ben, and the family are playing for Leukemia Charity and the King’s World Trust a children’s charity in southern India.
Joining John on his team and being carried onto the set by John are his mum Marion and being carried onto set by Vernon is John’s dad, sister Carole and John’s partner Scott. And the family are playing for Ty Hafan a children’s hospice in the Vale of Glamorgan. John’s sister Carole seems to take quite a shine to Vernon but John tells her to keep her hands off, “he’s mine”.
Vernon discovers where John gets his theatrical side from as John snr and Marion demonstrate to Vernon and the studio audience their own line dancing skills.
But the theatrical skills don’t seem to help the Barrowman family as they lose out to the Dunlop family in the first two rounds.
Which of the families will end up in pole position and make it through to the Big Money round?
