Actor and comedian Adrian Edmondson is back for a second series of ITV Daytime’s Ade in Britain.
From ITV Studios’ production arm Shiver, Ade in Britain sees Ade travel the country sharing his own personal observations, wit and warmth with the British public - who teach him an array of traditional skills along the way.
From Cornwall to Cumbria, Suffolk to Yorkshire, Ade travels the length and breadth of Britain in the 30 x ‘60 series. In each episode Ade drives to a different part of the country taking viewers into the heartland of its scenic beauty. With his mobile kitchen in tow, Ade meets the people at the heart of the community responsible for the food, drink and rich heritage that make each area so distinct.
As well as investigating the legends and landscape of this historic country, Ade immerses himself in its unique local cultures - trying his hand at traditional pastimes including fly-fishing, cider making, basket weaving, glassblowing, mushroom foraging and haggis hurling.

Monday 25 March - Yorkshire Coast
Actor and comedian Adrian Edmondson continues his journey around Britain searching for regional foods and traditions. He roams the North York Moors in search of some tasty mutton, goes hunting for some ancient gems as he tracks down Whitby Jet, and cooks up some delicious gingerbread for members of the Scarborough Spa Orchestra.
Tuesday 26 March - Devon
Today actor and comedian Adrian Edmondson is in Devon, as he searches for the best of British foods and traditions. Adrian travels to Exmoor to learn about the oldest herd of Red Deer in Britain, learns the ropes of Call Change bell ringing, and meets some orange elephants living in the heart of the countryside. Local folk musician and singer Jackie Oates provides entertainment.
Wednesday 27 March - West Midlands
Actor and comedian Adrian Edmondson is off to the West Midlands in today’s show, as his exploration into surviving British foods and traditions continues. Adrian learns how our cuisine has been influenced from food cultures overseas in the Balti Triangle; he visits a pork scratching factory, takes a handmade British sports car out for a spin and learns how to make goats cheese.
Thursday 28 March - Jersey
Comedian Adrian Edmondson’s journey leads him off the mainland in today’s show, as his exploration of British foods and traditions take him to the largest of the Channel Islands, Jersey. Things get a bit fishy when he meets a turbot famer with a rather unusual workplace, he gets in a tangle when he is taught the art of spinning wool, he delights in some island delicacies, and cooks up a some fantastic fare for the island’s brass band.
