ITV will be the official television broadcast partner for the 37th Olivier Awards with MasterCard, the UK’s highest stage honours, which take place at the prestigious Royal Opera House, hosted by Sheridan Smith and Hugh Bonneville.

The biggest and most spectacular evening in the theatre calendar, the star-studded awards promise incredible performances and illustrious names.

ITV will be screening an Olivier Awards ceremony highlights programme broadcast on the night, shortly after the ceremony ends.

The awards will include performances from two of musical theatres biggest world-wide stars, Matthew Morrison and Idina Menzel.

Performances from nominated musicals will include Will Young and the company of Cabaret, the full companies of A Chorus Line and Top Hat in specially created pieces for the awards night, Heather Headley performing “I Will Always Love You” from The Bodyguard, along with James Bourne of Busted fame singing exclusively from his nominated musical Loserville.

Further show extracts will be announced in due course.

Guest presenters for the awards include Michael Ball, Kim Cattrall, Lee Evans, Romola Garai, Keeley Hawes, Myleene Klass, Damian Lewis, Tim Minchin, Daniel Radcliffe, David Suchet and Will Young.

Last year’s ceremony saw popular musical Matilda create history by winning seven awards, more than any show has won previously.
