Actor and comedian Adrian Edmondson is back for a second series of ITV Daytime’s Ade in Britain.
From ITV Studios’ production arm Shiver, Ade in Britain sees Ade travel the country sharing his own personal observations, wit and warmth with the British public - who teach him an array of traditional skills along the way.
From Cornwall to Cumbria, Suffolk to Yorkshire, Ade travels the length and breadth of Britain in the 30 x ‘60 series. In each episode Ade drives to a different part of the country taking viewers into the heartland of its scenic beauty. With his mobile kitchen in tow, Ade meets the people at the heart of the community responsible for the food, drink and rich heritage that make each area so distinct.
As well as investigating the legends and landscape of this historic country, Ade immerses himself in its unique local cultures - trying his hand at traditional pastimes including fly-fishing, cider making, basket weaving, glassblowing, mushroom foraging and haggis hurling.

Monday 8th April - NORTH WEST
Actor and comedian Adrian Edmondson makes his way to the North West as he continues his celebration of the best of traditional local British foods and crafts. His childhood dreams come true when he visits a sweet factory, he heads deep underground to explore a salt mine, and from the back of his caravan he cooks up a seafarer’s favourite for some shanty men on Liverpool’s Albert Docks.
Tuesday 9th April – ESSEX
Today actor and Comedian Adrian Edmondson is heading to Essex to find out about the regions famous local foods and crafts. He goes on the hunt for some delicious shellfish, visits a famous jam maker, and learns the old craft of horse logging, before cooking up a traditional tasty treat for local folk band, Mawkin.
Wednesday 10th April – DORSET
Actor and comedian Adrian Edmondson continues his search for the best of British foods and crafts when he stops off in Dorset. Adrian meets a couple that farm mushrooms, learns the art of scything and visits the Great Dorset Steam Fair. In the grounds of Kingston Lacy, Adrian cooks a traditional Dorset dish for a children’s step-dancing group.
Thursday 11th April – LINCOLNSHIRE
In today’s show, actor and comedian Adrian Edmondson is visiting the historic county of Lincolnshire, to search for the regions finest traditional British foods and crafts. Adrian visits a family butchers who have been serving an unusual local delicacy since the 1900s. He learns about the art of stone masonry at the top of Lincoln Cathedral and meets a farmer who keeps one of Britain’s oldest breeds of cattle, before cooking up a tasty regional snack for some local folk singers.
Friday 12th April - COUNTY DOWN
Last In Series:
In the final programme of the series actor and comedian Adrian Edmondson heads away from Britain one last time to explore County Down in Northern Ireland hunting for surviving traditional foods and crafts. Adrian has a hard day’s work harvesting potatoes, learns the secrets of the world’s oldest fabric, heads out on a boat to search for seaweed and cooks a hearty dish for an award-winning family of local folk singers.
