In the latest chapter of Pete’s life, he is helping to promote a healthier kids initiative, which sees him head off on a two-day press drive.
One of the first people he meets is 80’s pop legend and radio DJ Rick Astley, who was one of his childhood heroes. Pete is star-struck when he first meets Rick, before plucking up the courage to ask him to ring his sister in Australia, despite the fact it’s 3am in the morning over there.
Promotional work over, Pete jets off to his family villa in Cyprus with his children, Junior and Princess, and good friend Ryan. It’s an emotional return for Pete to the Andre’s spiritual home as it’s the first time he’s visited the island since his brother Andrew passed away.
He makes a particularly poignant trip to his favourite restaurant, which he last visited with Andrew, thanking the owners for their love and support.
But with his children by his side, the mood soon becomes more playful as the family enjoy soaking up the sun, and Pete begins to relax.
However, any hopes Pete had of having a totally stress free holiday are soon quashed when he begins his training for an upcoming charity bike ride he’s doing across Zanzibar.
Put through his paces by a no-nonsense bike instructor, Pete really struggles to complete the 15km route she takes him on - not a good sign considering he’s got to cycle over 300kms in just over a week’s time.
