Adrian Edmondson brings us more stories behind another summer in the life of the people who live in the Yorkshire Dales.
This week The Dales is on the edge of Nidderdale and the beautiful Ripley Castle, home to Sir Thomas and Lady Emma Ingilby. This Summer their former employee Patsy Campbell is coming back to the castle to marry her fiancé Daniel Higgins. Patsy used to live in the castle so for her this really is like coming home for the biggest day of her life.
Meanwhile Ade Edmondson meets Dales photographer Simon Phillpotts and travels into the heart of a Dales forest where they try their best to capture Red Squirrels on film.
And we return to Ravenseat Farm where shepherd Clive Owen gives the Dales latest teenage farmer Will Wildman a lesson from the master. In this remote setting, a farming life is a hard one so it needs future generations to commit to the cause and help keep the Dales’ agricultural heritage alive. Does young farmer Will have what it takes to keep farming alive in the Yorkshire Dales?
