Episode 5

As Kevin fights for his life in hospital, Heather tells the US air force that no-one is to speak to Emma. However, the air force dislike spooks telling them what to do so they let Emma meet with Logan in secret, who tells her that he was in a relationship with Linda before her death. He reveals that the pair were introduced at the air base by her Uncle, Phil.

Heather arrives and supervises Emma’s interrogation covertly, but Emma refuses to talk, having already found out the information she needed from Logan. The interview is called to an end when DCS Greenwood phones Heather to request that Emma comes back to the UK so she can arrest for her conspiracy.

Meanwhile, Dominic meets Miriam in prison to tell her that Emma is no longer representing Yusef and Matthew Wild rallies support as he prepares to win the leadership election.

Series overview

Created by Homeland and 24 writer, Patrick Harbinson, and produced by leading independent programme makers, Mammoth Screen, brand new contemporary thriller Fearless launches on ITV this Summer.

Starring acclaimed actress Helen McCrory (Peaky Blinders, Penny Dreadful), the gripping six-part drama follows Emma Banville, a human rights lawyer known for defending lost causes, as she sets out to prove the innocence of Kevin Russell, who was convicted for the murder of a schoolgirl, Linda Simms, 14 years earlier: a crime which he maintains he didn’t commit.

Firmly believing there has been a miscarriage of justice, Emma is determined to reveal the truth behind Linda’s death and is prepared to go to extreme lengths to discover what happened and free Kevin. However, as Emma digs deeper into the case, risking her career, personal life and reputation, she begins to sense powerful forces at play within the police and intelligence services who want to stop her uncovering the truth.
