Adrian Edmondson returns home to Yorkshire to bring us more stories behind another summer in the life of the people who live in the Yorkshire Dales.
This week Ade Edmondson returns to visit the Wildman family farm in Kirkby Malham in Malhamdale. A year ago dad Chris Wildman embarked on a grand plan to build a charcuterie on the farm. Now the building work is finally complete and Ade is there to attend the grand opening.
Meanwhile there are grand fundraising plans afoot at the Wensleydale Railway for general manager Nigel Park. We meet the volunteers working on the line and find out just why they give their time and effort to the cause. We also follow the refurbishment of an old 1950’s carriage, ready to be put back to service on the line.
And over in West Witton we follow the Dales tradition of the ‘Burning of the Bartle’. For over 70 years resident Robert Harker has been involved in parading the effigy of an old sheep stealer through the streets of this Wensleydale village - a tradition that draws in hundreds of people every year.
