The Marriage Ref

Dermot O’Leary hosts The Marriage Ref, a brand new Saturday night comedy panel series on ITV1 whereby married couples come forward and reveal what makes them squabble.

Each week host Dermot O’Leary will welcome a number of real life couples onto the show who have an ongoing argument. These marital tiffs will run the gamut of disagreements - quirky, funny, and eminently recognisable.

Each partner will have the chance to put their side of the dispute across before a panel of celebrities and comedians who will have the final say in determining the victor of each spat. The panellists will offer their own wit, wisdom and unique opinions on the problem, discussing the merits of each side before voting on who they think is correct.

This week Jimmy Carr, Geri Halliwell and Sarah Millican are on the panel, playing Marriage Ref to a husband who is fed up with his wife constantly leaving him ‘to do’ lists; a retired couple who argue about the husband’s huge collection of pickles; and a wife who thinks it’s high time her husband put away his skateboard and grew up.

Other panellists that will appear throughout the series include Jonathan Ross, James Corden, Denise Van Outen, Jack Dee and Micky Flanagan.
