ITV has commissioned a third series of Paul O’Grady: For The Love of Dogs, which will air in the autumn.
In this new series, produced by Shiver Productions, Paul O’Grady will travel to other Battersea Dogs & Cats Home sites at Brands Hatch in Kent and Old Windsor in Berkshire as well as the iconic London site.
Along with providing a picturesque backdrop to the series, the new sites provide a whole host of new dogs for Paul to meet and no doubt fall in love with.
The series (11 x30) will retain the format of its previous award-winning runs. Paul will meet Battersea’s homeless dogs and help out with their treatment, training and ultimately try to find them a new home.
As well as Paul O’Grady, the series will feature some other familiar Battersea faces with vets Shaun and Phil returning as well as behaviour experts Ali and Brian.
The second series of Paul O’Grady’s For The Love Of Dogs averaged almost six million viewers per episode and won a National Television Award and a TRIC award.
Paul O’Grady For The Love Of Dogs is commissioned for ITV by Jo Clinton-Davis, Controller of Factual, with Richard Klein, Director of Factual.
Commissioning Editor, Factual, Priya Singh said: “We're thrilled to see the return of this much-loved series. Paul O'Grady, heartwarming stories, humour, emotion and of course, dogs - a magical combination.”
