New record as 15.8 million watch The X Factor results show on ITV1
An enormous peak audience of 15.8 million viewers watched last night’s The X Factor results on ITV1 – 52 percent share of the audience. The whole show between 8.00pm and 9.00pm attracted 13.9 million viewers and 48 percent share of viewing in the – half a million up on last week’s results show.
The audience figures represent new records for The X Factor in what has already been a great year for the ITV1 show. The first 18 episodes of this year’s series have averaged 11.0m viewers and 43.8% (57.6% for 16-34s). This is a gain of +1.7m viewers and +2.6 share points (+5.7 share points for 16-34s) compared to the first 18 episodes last year and makes it the most successful series ever.
