Actor and comedian Adrian Edmondson is back for a second series of ITV Daytime’s Ade in Britain.
From ITV Studios’ production arm Shiver, Ade in Britain sees Ade travel the country sharing his own personal observations, wit and warmth with the British public - who teach him an array of traditional skills along the way.
From Cornwall to Cumbria, Suffolk to Yorkshire, Ade travels the length and breadth of Britain in the 30 x ‘60 series. In each episode Ade drives to a different part of the country taking viewers into the heartland of its scenic beauty. With his mobile kitchen in tow, Ade meets the people at the heart of the community responsible for the food, drink and rich heritage that make each area so distinct.
As well as investigating the legends and landscape of this historic country, Ade immerses himself in its unique local cultures - trying his hand at traditional pastimes including fly-fishing, cider making, basket weaving, glassblowing, mushroom foraging and haggis hurling.

Monday 11 March – Cumbria
In today’s programme, actor and comedian Adrian Edmondson makes his way to beautiful Cumbria, to explore the regions unique foods and much-loved British traditions. He learns about every hiker’s favourite treat, Kendal Mint Cake, tries his luck fishing the traditional Viking way, enjoys a taste of the Caribbean when he learns about the history of rum in the region, and bakes up a spicy cake for some local cloggers.
Tuesday 12 March - Norfolk
In today’s show, actor and comedian Adrian Edmondson’s quest to uncover Britain’s wonderful foods, traditions and crafts leads him to Norfolk. Adrian meets a local egg producer and attempts to turn corn into a doll before being reunited with an old friend from the last series – eel catcher Peter Carter, who demonstrates his century old punt gun in action.
Wednesday 13 March – East Scotland
Today actor and comedian Adrian Edmondson is on his way to East Scotland as he searches out Britain’s finest regional foods and traditions. He meets the brothers brewing medieval heather ale, visits a family of sporran makers and tastes some highland cattle beef. Adrian then cooks up a nourishing Scottish broth for some local singers.
Thursday 14 March – Buckinghamshire
Today actor and comedian Adrian Edmondson is on his way to Buckinghamshire, to search for the regions finest British foods and traditions. He meets the last Aylesbury duck breeder, builds his own traditional Windsor chair and joins a rather nervous mayor at High Wycombe’s ancient ‘weighing-in’ ceremony. In the grounds of the stunning Claydon Estate Adrian treats a male barbershop choir to an unusually named local dish.
Friday 15th March – Yorkshire
In today’s programme, actor and comedian Adrian Edmondson returns to the region where he was born – Yorkshire - to explore the foods and traditions unique to Britain’s largest county. Adrian goes tea tasting in Harrogate, visits a group of metalworkers to try his hand at making some cutlery, and uses an unusual local recipe to whip up a snack for a local choir.
