Episode six:

Steve Leonard meets an elegant Serval cub while a litter of Sheepdog puppies get set for their working lives. Plus we explore some of the UK’s native wildlife as rescue centres lend a loving hand.

Series overview:

Across the UK millions of creatures, great and small, are born each year. There are so many animals to see – from native hedgerow wildlife to exotic zoo breeds and from our favourite household pets to trusty farmyard livestock.

We join vet Steve Leonard as he travels all over the UK visiting some of our most iconic zoos, working farms and people’s homes in order to meet the people who help rear our diverse array of animals. We’ll share moments when Nature’s Newborns take their first steps into the world.

Orangutans to Okapis, Pygmy Hippos to Pumas, Seals to Squirrels; everything from abandoned kittens to Zebras.  Nature’s Newborns features the newborn young of almost any animal you can think of.
