Episode four (final episode)

This week the road warriors must drive a 160 mile round trip with 26 truckloads of fuel and water to a frontline British Army Base. They face the usual threat of bombs and bullets but also have the added nightmare of sand storms and trucks becoming bogged in the deep, ever shifting sands as they travel across the western desert. After recovering one truck, one of the road warriors misses a buried bomb by inches as he tries to catch up with the rest of convoy. After completing their mission the convoy have one final supply run of their six month tour. They must exchange their beaten and battered old trucks for a fleet of brand new vehicles. But in order to collect the new trucks they must negotiate Afghanistan’s Highway 1, known as the ‘highway to hell’ due to the amount of people who have been killed or seriously injured on the road.

Finally the road warriors fly back to Britain for some truly emotional reunions with their partners, children, friends and families.
